红树林交错缠绕的根系，减缓由海平面上升与强风暴引发的潮涌。在足够深的森林里，它们几乎能吸收风暴对其后方建筑与农田的全部冲击。
同样的根系，也是刚孵化幼鱼的藏身之所，庇护它们躲过更大的掠食者，直到长到渔民赖以为生的大小。这片森林守护着海岸——也在无声中滋养着它。
在水上多留意——红树林里的居民，远比你想象的多。
